Pray that we
finish the work that God has given us to do.
I have brought you
glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. (John 17:4)
God, in the beginning, designed a plan for each of us - a unique plan that we are to accomplish in our unique marketplace. This marketplace extends to the "ends of the earth." In Jesus' prayer, recorded in John 17, He said, "I have finished the work you gave me to do." This should be the prayer of each of us: that we finish the work God has given us to do.
